On 26 March, the first edition of Transition takes place. A brand-new jazz & beyond festival in collaboration with North Sea Jazz. The Concertzender makes recordings and will broadcast the first concerts during this hour.
All concerts from Cloud Nine are recorded by the Concertzender. At 8 pm of that night you will already hear the first recordings on air; by the Teus Nobel Quintet and Temko. The remainder of the concerts will be broadcast at a later time.
Teus Nobel was born in 1982 and at a very young age already came on tour through Europe with the Rotterdam Ska Jazz Foundation. After that, he played with several artists like the Kyteman Orchestra, Caro Emerald and the Rotterdam Jazz Orchestra and he played a prominent role in soul singer Frank McComb’s band. McComb sang a few songs at Buckshot LeFonque. Next to this, Nobel is a solo trumpet player at the Dutch Royal Airforce Orchestra, that has been focusing on pop and jazz for 15 years.
