2- Times of Maharajas of the ensemble DHOAD Gypsies of Rajasthan.
The age of the Maharajas was a time of jewels of kings, lush palaces filled with the best art and a rich cultural tradition of Rajasthan – the land of kings. The DHOAD gypsies of Rajasthan take us back to these times, recreating the experiences of the public spectacle of palace life. In the spirit of their ancestors, DHOAD honors the rich, traveling Khan Saheb music tradition – a musical caste and title given by the Maharajas to the musicians of their court – as a tribute to the Romans who left India more than a thousand years ago. CD. Times of Maharajas – DHOAD Gypsies of Rajasthan. Label: Arc Music (2019), code: EUCD2845 | 44’33.
