The second part of the two-part series on composer Hans Werner Henze on the anniversary of his 90th birthday. Henze wrote some of his most beautiful pieces while he was still a student in Heidelberg. One example of this, is his violin concert. After graduating, his political and social commitment grows and take over his works from the 70’s on. One of his master pieces is his  waarvan we dit jaar zijn 90st geboortejaar herdenken. Henze schreef sommige van zijn mooiste stukken toen hij nog studeerde in Heidelberg. Bijv. zijn vioolconcert. Zijn politieke en sociale engagement krijgt na zijn studies de overhand en vanaf de jaten ’70 gaat het zijn werken direct beïnvloeden. Eèn van zijn meesterstukken is zijn oratoria ‘Das Floß der Medusa’  which he wrote during his stay in Cuba.
