Diversity clearly returns to the land of opera, just like French, German and Italian traditions. The tradition of central Europe also thrives in the opera and operetta genre. It’s a shame many of these beautiful works were not recorded. This year knows many highlights, but Die Tote Stadt by Erich Korngold takes the crown.
