Episode 763. The theme of this week’s episodes of Bach Ad Infinitum is Advent, Christmas and Buxtehude and, on Friday, we will announce the winner of the BachCD 2019.

Today you can listen to the Advent cantatas “Ärgre dich, o Seele, nicht”, BWV 186 by Masaaki Suzuki and “Nun komm, der Heiden Heiland” BWV 62 by the Thomanerchor from Leipzig.

Cantata BWV 186 is one of the three cantatas for the four Advent Sundays that Bach composed for the most part in 1716.
