Documento

An educational programme featuring early music.

Today: in memoriam lute player and guitarist Julian Bream (1933-2020).

This episode of Documento is dedicated to lute player Julian Bream, who has recently died at the age of 83.
Bream was an autodidact and taught himself to play the guitar and the lute. He gave both instruments a place in classical music. Besides, he dusted off the wonderful lute music of John Dowland.
