India and Tibet with The Indian Collection &  Chris Hinze, produced by Cobie Ivens.

I
The classical Indian collection.
A unique album that explores the many subtle connections between Indian and Western classical music. Eschewing the more fashionable East-West fusion found on the dance floor, for example, in the Asian underground, the album draws its downtempo, blissful power from powerful arrangements, ethereal flutes, hypnotic percussion, and the languid, undulating notes of the sitar. The Classical Indian Collection, a mix of symphonic classical fusions, Indo-jazz projects, Hindi film music, and downtempo, more club-oriented fusions from the Asian diaspora, brings together the very best musicians and singers, and the very best sounds.

Chris Hinze.
Dutch producer/composer/flautist Chris Hinze is famous for his many albums of ambient world music. Highlights of his oeuvre include the album African-Indian and World Fusion (1984) and the two volumes Tibet Impressions, on which the Dalai Lama collaborated.
Around the turn of the century, Chris Hinze focused on Zen meditation, which led to a music performance called Zen: The Fire Within. A special mixture of music with in particular flutist Chris Hinze, drummer Baz Mattie, soprano Barbara Hannigan, African singer Mola Sylla, cellist Roeland Duine, percussionist Marcel Andriessen and sung sutras by the American monk John Toler, who lives in Japan.
