Bandleader, composer and pianist Duke Ellington (1899–1974). Episode 308, featuring the CD Organic Duke, with tenor saxophonist Scott Hamilton accompanied by a trio consisting of organist Mike LeDonne, bassist Dennis Irwin and drummer Chuck Riggs. The recordings were made on 18 and 19 May 1994.
