Scandinavian and Baltic Music

Mioko Yokoyama
In Northern Lights, we devote an hour every week exclusively to Scandinavian and Baltic music. Our musical search knows no boundaries, taking us from the old to the new, from the familiar to the decidedly less familiar. That alco includes the entire spectrum of quasi-classical music and crossover styles. Today’s programme features the debut album by Japanese-Finnish composer Mioko Yokoyama, released on Vienna’s Kairos label, along with a touch of Finnish blues.
