Episode 1253. In this new Bachweek, we continue our exploration of the cantatas in chronological order. We’ve now reached the cantatas Bach composed in the summer of 1724, almost precisely 300 years ago. Kicking off this segment is the cantata “Was frag ich nach der Welt” BWV 94, which Bach wrote for the 9th Sunday after Trinity on August 6, 1724.
