Episode 1547
Our chronological Bach cantata cycle continues, having begun with BWV 1. Each day, we hear a cantata followed by shorter instrumental and vocal works by J. S. Bach. Today’s programme begins with cantata “Die Himmel erzählen die Ehre Gottes”, BWV 76. Bach wrote this cantata for the Second Sunday after Trinity in 1723. We hear it performed by the J.S. Bach-Stiftung, conducted by Rudolf Lutz.
