Behind the Dikes

Peter Beets (The Hague, 12 June 1971) starts as one of the three Beets Brothers but quickly makes a name for himself as a piano soloist. He is admired for his virtuoso, lightning-fast playing. After the three brothers went their separate ways, Peter formed his Dutch trio and played with various formations in many European countries. He develops into a much sought-after accompanist of singers and instrumentalists. In 2018, with Henk Meutgeert, he formed his Jazz Orchestra consisting of young talents. After Henk’s departure, the orchestra performs under his name: Peter Beets & the New Jazz Orchestra.
