At the end of the 1960s Léo Ferré (1916-1993) was at the height of his fame, with songs such as ‘C’est extra’ and ‘Pépée. The even more famous ‘Avec le temps’ would follow a year later. He presented himself as anarchist and Ferré was popular among the youth of ‘May 1968’ and he gave an inspiring concert in 1969 at the Bobino theatre in Paris.
