On 5 February, the Wolfert Brederode Quartet got Carte Blanche at the Amsterdam Goethe–Instituut. Newspaper Het Parool described his playing style: “He displayed an improviser’s unpredictability and a concert pianist’s virtuosity and precision … The sounds are produced as fluidly as water.”
Brederode is seen as a unique talent in the contemporary jazz scene, because of his very personal and poetic sound.
