Conductor, composer and pianist Duke Ellington (1899-1974) part 113. Today you can listen to recordings from September-October 1957 that were released under the title Ellington Indigos. They are all ballads, with four of Ellington’s own, most of them were arranged by Billy Strayhorn. At the end we will play two parts of Ellington’s Perfume Suite.
