The exhibition with works by the Victorian painter J.W. Waterhouse has the subtitle: “enchanted by women” (part 1).
They can be seen at the Groninger Museum.
Circe, The Lady of Shalott, Cleopatra, to name a few. Composers and musicians too were inspired by them – you will hear a few examples hereof in the following hour.
