The baroque spirit in all his musical shapes. Advent and Christmas music from the Italian baroque.

Music from the Italian baroque often has a pastoral character. It is inspired by the shepherds who were told about the birth of Jesus by an angel and then went to Bethlehem to pay him a tribute.

In this episode you can listen to two vocal Pastorales from Naples from the 18th century. But first, you will hear two motets by Bonafatio Gratiani from the 17th century.
