L’Esprit Baroque

The baroque spirit in all his musical shapes.

This hour is dedicated to the viola, which didn’t emerge as a solo instrument until the late Baroque era. The viola played a subordinate role during most of the Baroque period. It was mainly used to fill chords, thus creating a richer ensemble sound.
