Kreng is the Belgian actor/composer/musician Pepijn Caudron. He has written music for several films, but above all for theatre productions by the Abbatoir Fermé company. He also releases solo albums, such as The Summoner (2015, about the five stages of grief) and, this year, Wormhole. As the titles more or less suggest, his music is often as menacing as it is fascinating – in a Lovecraftian way.
Miska Lamberg’s Presage was created entirely from radio fragments and field recordings made around Helsinki, where he also lives. By splicing and transforming these fragments, their original context is ultimately heavily blurred. Lamberg aims to keep his art as simple as possible by limiting the number of tools at his disposal.
soarsoftly (smallcaps intended) is the second part of a trilogy that Rushab Nandha (Nairobi) began with Tear (2025). soarsoftly was realised in seven days. It is both a continuation of the path taken there and a counterpoint to it. Both albums (and probably the future third part as well) were released on Dragon’s Eye Recordings, the label run by Yann Novak.
