At the end of the 19th century the British ruled a kingdom where the sun never set. And still that wasn’t enough. Many Brits dreamed of a kingdom as big as possible and even the farthest corners of Africa had to be subjected to their regime.

Cecil Rhodes, a British diamond trader and politician, dreamed of a railway that had to connect the British colonies in Africa. From Cairo to Cape Town, a distance of 7246 kilometers. The railway was never build, but in this episode we will make a musical journey between these two cities.
