Metamorphosis

If you think about French folk, the name Gabriel Yacoub immediately springs to mind. After having become a craze as frontman of the French band Malicorne, it has primarily been his solo work that really impressed in the last ten years. In all fairness, one Metamorphosis is actually too short to do complete justice to Yacoub’s qualities. Still, his latest solo album provides the perfect opportunity to be introduced (again) to his musical past and present. And personally, I think that every excuse to bring attention to Yacoub’s work should be seized with both hands. Tonight you will hear him as musician, producer, solo artist, and guest musician.
