Opera in the 20th century

The history of twentieth-century opera. #22: 1921
Peopled say 2021 was the year of the operettas. And maybe that isn’t all that weird. The genre is better equipped to handle worldly themes and a large dose of optimism.

Some details have to be mentioned: the first Romanian opera was born, Paul Hindemith showed his first operas  and a new generation of composers put their on stamp on works, themes and tonality. In short, another wonderful year for listening to.
