This program features traditional Arabic music in maqam Huzam mainly from Egypt. We’ll listen to instrumental and vocal pieces and improvisations by Saleh Abdel-Hay and ensemble,Abbas El-Beleidy ensemble, Umm Kolthoum and ensemble, the Syrian ‘Ud player Omar Naqshabandi and others.
