Claude Vivier
The long-awaited biography of Canadian composer Claude Vivier was recently published. British musicologist Bob Gilmore, who also makes his voice regularly heard in the Netherlands, have worked on it for about ten years. Viviers course of life was always mysterious, Gilmore has unlocked a couple of mysteries, draws logical conclusions and speculates some exciting possibilities here and there. In this episode of Present Day Music a handful of Viviers salient compositions.
