Series Jordi Savall

This episode is dedicated to the most recent release of Savall, the double CD ‘Guerre et Paix 1614-1714’, with compositions about the theme ‘War and Peace’.
The CD is accompanied by a book with almost 400 pages with lots of historic background information about the 17th century in Europe that was filled with war, conflict, crisis, peace and ultimately reconciliation. It provides a good and representative image of this period in Europe with its conflicts and wars. 
Through musical examples Savall will show how the 17th century was a chain of a long and sad series of wars and battles between people and ethnic groups in Europe.
