Roots & Routes

fri 18 jul 2025 19:00 hrs

A programme filled with American Roots Music – country, blues, bluegrass, folk, country rock, folk rock, americana and much more! In this first episode Gillian Welch is our guide.

In Roots & Routes, we travel along the paths of American Roots Music. We’ll be passing through the highways and the byways, so you can count on country, blues, bluegrass, rockabilly, folk, country rock, folk rock, Americana, and more! In this episode, Gillian Welch serves as our route planner.
Gillian Welch leads us past a number of her musical influences and inspirations. She usually performs and sings with David Rawlings, often under her own name, though they also have projects released solely under Rawlings’ name. Together, they have a very unique sound. Still, it takes no effort at all to hear the various roots in their music.
