Sounds of the Silk Road.

In this World Music Night we will hear sounds of the Silk Road. For centuries, from the classical antiquity to the late Middle Ages, the Silk Road was an important economic and cultural connection between east and west. Hundreds of years have gone by but as soon as we hear the music of different people who live along the Silk Road, exotic stories come alive from the famous Silk Road traveller Marco Polo.
The music is from Iran, Japan, South Siberia, Afghanistan, Caucasus, Mongolia, Central Asia and China.
