Programme maker/presenter Thijs Bonger continues with his journey through music history, in search for piano etudes. An hour full of piano music that you can hear seldom or never. Already part XIX of this series, in which we go on a journey to the 19th century Italy, to Bolonga to be precise. Stefano Golinelli(1818-1891) did well in the circus of clavier lions who scoured Europe around 1850. Schumann called him ‘an unexpected sign of life from opera-country Italy’.
