Neil Ardley Kaleidoscope of Rainbows
Jazz in Britain recently released a nearly complete live recording of Neil Ardley’s (Wallington 1937 – London 2004) composition Kaleidoscope of Rainbows from his tape archive. The recordings come from a concert on 20 October 1975 in the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London. The ‘nucleus’ of the 12-piece orchestra was trumpeter Ian Carr’s sextet Nucleus.
