Beethoven and the 20th century – part 1.

Undoubtedly, you will be aware of the fact that Ludwig von Beethoven was born 250 years ago this year. The Concertzender will broadcast his complete oeuvre in the daily programme ‘Long Live Beethoven’. In the next months, this programme will also pay attention to Beethoven and, in particular, to his influence on 20th century composers. In this episode you can listen to works by Jörg Widmann, Alfred Schnittke and Max Reger.
