We pay attention to Annie Ross (1930-2020), member of the masterly vocal group Lambert, Hendricks & Ross, and who is also impressive as a solo singer (e.g. with Gerry Mulligan) and songwriter (’Twisted’)
Furthermore, we play Peter Green (1946-2020), the guitar hero of Fleetwood Mac.
Further, we present the funny British duo Flanders & Swann with their animal album; this time, a song about elephants and their excellent memories.
And, Roy Orbison, Marty Paich and his big band, boogie-woogie star Pete Johnson with ‘Dive Bomber’, Dizzy Gillespie, and, time permitting, also a bizarre version of ‘Rock around the clock’ by De Spelbrekers.
