Jazz, blues and Dutch chewing gum card music. We start in the world of Black Magic: Shirley Horn (‘That old black magic’), followed by a lover’s lament (‘Minsan Lamang’) by Xavier Cugat and a surprising tune by French sound artist André Popp.
And further: the obscure blues singer Lil Green (‘Give your mama one smile’), guitarist/singer Teddy Bunn with trumpeter Hot Lips Page’s trio (‘Evil man’s blues’) and the cowboy formation Sons of the Pioneers (The timber trail)
