25 years of travel book shop De Evenaar, Amsterdam.

Aya Zikken: De Tanimbarlegende.
Jasper is a young Dutchman, who shortly after WWII got a job as a mechanical inspector and port warden on the Moluccas.
He lives with with an elderly gentleman at the government's lodgings.
After 4 months, Johannes arrives, wanting to start a elementary school on the island. These three all play
a big part in the book. How did the Dutch feel in the Dutch East Indies at the time and what are the biggest
differences between the island and the Netherlands? Will they ever truly feel at home? And at the same time,
will have to face the fact that the Indien adventure is coming to an end.
Since Evenaar celebrates its 25th anniversary, it is re-releasing this novel, first released in 1992.
