A docudrama about one of the most prominent and independent composers of the 20th century. Episode 16.

In ‘Prokofiev: modernist on his own terms’, every fortnight an hour-long feature on the life and work of Russian 20th century composer Sergei Prokofiev, undoubtedly one of the greatest composers of the 20th century.

In this episode: one last time attention for his first successful opera ‘The Player’, his first symphony ‘The Classic’ and the second symphony by S. Lyapunov both from 1917. And the difference could not be greater.
