Christianne Stotijn, mezzo-soprano
‘Urlicht’

Christianne Stotijn studied violin and vocals at the conservatory in Amsterdam. She was taught by, among others, Udo Reinemann, Jard van Nes and Janet Baker. In 2005 she won the Borletti Buitoni Trust Award and in 2008 she won the Nederlandse Muziekprijs (Dutch Music award). She toured in the 2005/2006 Rising Star series and was chosen BBC New Generation Artist of 2007.

With her regular pianists Joseph Breinl and Julius Drake, she gives recitals at major venues worldwide. In this program, she sings songs by composers such as Mahler, Schubert, Martin, and Adès. She has a diverse repertoire!
