The Raï originated in Algeria, but this style can be heard in the entire Middle East. The idea behind Egyptian Raï is to use and to feel different kinds of sound, rhythms, songs, all from the Arab world. It is the wish of Hosam Ramzy that anyone who listens to this album looks at the Arab world through a "hawk’s eye" and sees that it is a world of its own.
