Liquid Spirits, consisting of 8 people from The Hague, brings a varied mix of HipHop & Soul, strongly influenced by the sixties and seventies, but produced with a contemporary sound.
The main part of the band is the rhythm section, formed by Cyril Directie (drums) and Manuel Hugas (bass) along with guitar player Marc Bien and keyboard player Wiboud Burkens. Hiphopsoul beats that remind one of Tribe Called Quest and JayDee. Sixties and seventies flavours inspired by Charles Stepney, Minnie Ripperton and Leon Ware.
There are four lead singers: Jasmin Tusjadia, Dedre Twiss, Lo van Gorp and Brian Zalmijn.
