Series about and with Catalan gambist and conductor Jordi Savall.
Part 66: Savall’s latest CD ‘Magnificat & Concerti’ contains both Antonio Vivaldi’s and Johann Sebastian Bach’s Magnificat.
This episode is dedicated to Savall’s latest release, the CD ‘Magnificat & Concerti’ which contains the Magnificat of two master composers of the Baroque era: Antonio Vivaldi and Johann Sebastian Bach.
The CD also contains instrumental concerts of Vivaldi and Bach.
These are older recordings from 2003.
Besides that, there is an additional DVD which contains 2013 concert recordings at the Royal Chapel in the Castle of Versailles, the place where Savall performed the works with five soloists and an exclusive choir.
