A musical serial. Episode 76: Oscar P.
This december 23rd will mark the 10th year since Oscar Peterson passed away. We won’t just let that date pass by!
Oscar Peterson was a jazz pianist who always stayed within tonal bounds. He did this with an overwhelming sense of phrasing though, and sometimes at break-neck speeds. In his solos he never lost sight of the character of the original melody. All this made him a very technical pianist, but still easy on the ear.
