Film music, compiled by Kees Hogenbirk. In the series Jazz in the movies, instead of edition 185, we will feature episode 200 about Jule Styne who made many compositions for the recently deceased singer and film star Doris Day.

1. Romance on the High Seas (1948).
First, you will hear the version of ‘It’s Magic’ which Doris Day recorded  with George Siravo and His Orchestra in 1947. Then she sings the tracks that come straight from the film, with musical director Ray Heindorf and the Warner Brothers Studio Orchestra.

2. It’s a Great Feeling (1949).

7. Battle Cry (1955).
The film debut of Doris Day in 1947, with which we started this broadcast.
