On ‘the wayward Prokofiev’ every two weeks for an hour we focus on the life and work of 20th century Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev. Undoubtedly one of the biggest composers of the twentieth century.
On today’s episode: Prokofiev’s not so successful second symphony, his 5 songs for violin and piano, which was more successful than the original for voice and piano, and a serenade in A major for piano by Igor Stravinsky. All works from 1925.
