
Pocket Concerts (17) – Pianist Cor Bakker, bassist Jeroen Vierdag, and drummer Frits Landesbergen are prominent figures in Dutch and European jazz.
Cor Bakker is known for his virtuosity and broad musical repertoire. He has performed with artists such as Toots Thielemans, Philip Catherine, Lee Konitz, and the Metropole Orchestra, and is well-known from television and radio. His work has been recognized with major Dutch music awards, including several Edison Jazz Awards.
Jeroen Vierdag is one of the most respected bassists in the Netherlands. He has collaborated with Rita Reys, Ack van Rooyen, and Benny Golson and has performed at leading jazz festivals worldwide. Many projects he has collaborated on have received an Edison Jazz Award.
Frits Landesbergen is an internationally acclaimed drummer and vibraphonist who has played with Chet Baker, Buddy DeFranco, Slide Hampton, and Toots Thielemans. He was awarded the prestigious Wessel Ilcken Prize, a great honour in Dutch jazz.
Together, they represent the very best of Dutch jazz on the worldofjazz.nl stage.

*While digging through the Dutch Jazz Archives, Cor selected the advanced piece Six Seven Eight, a composition in six, seven, and eight-four time by the illustrious Dutch pianist Rob Franken (1941-1983), a pioneer of the Fender Rhodes electric piano.
