On Saturday 13 June, from 01:00 to 07:00 CET, the night is filled with Celtic music from Ireland and music from the broader Celtic-inspired tradition.
On Irish Heartbeat, Van Morrison demonstrates that, in addition to his well-known soul, jazz, and blues, he also has a deep appreciation of the Celtic music of his native soil. He created the album together with The Chieftains, the iconic Irish folk group from Dublin.
The rest of the nighttime hours are filled with the sounds of the Irish band Clannad, known for their harmonious and mystical sounds. From Canada, Loreena McKennitt can be heard with her Celtic-inspired world music, in which Irish and Scottish influences come together.
This is followed by more Irish musicians: Christy Moore with his poetic songs and Celtic Woman with classic and folkloric Irish melodies in beautiful harmonies.
In the very early hours, the influential Dubliners close the night with an album of Irish pub songs.
