Thursday, September 10th at 11:00 PM: The rise of Dutch cassette culture – Part Eight.
The *Re:light* broadcast on Thursday, September 10th, tells the story of how a tape recorder, a guitar, and a Philicordia organ bought from a grandmother served as the initial ingredients for experimentation starting in 1978. We listen to music recorded in living-room studios and explore how, from the early 1980s onwards, these recordings were distributed via cassette-by-mail networks. It is also the story of the early years of the EXART label, which was active from 1982 to 1995.
