Some tips from us in the run-up to the Le Guess Who? festival that takes place in Utrecht from November 9th to November 12th.
The annual festival Le Guess Who? takes place this year from November 9 to November 12. The theme for this edition is A Celebration Of Sound. As always, there are very special artists on the list of announced acts so it will be a party again this year too. Four days of music throughout the city of Utrecht, and almost all contemporary music genres can be heard.
As in previous years, Bob Rusche has featured a number of the artists who will be performing at the festival in X-Rated. The first preview was on Sunday 24 September and this was followed by a second special on Sunday 29 October when the full line-up was announced.
Thema on September 13 also focused on a number of the musicians who can be heard during the festival: Richard Dawson, Stereolab, James Holden and Alessandro Cortini. Josephine Foster was also featured but unfortunately she has since cancelled for the festival.
A fragment from Does Spring Hide Its Joy was included in X-Rated on October 29. This fragment comes from a triple-CD by Kali Malone, Stephen O’Malley & Lucy Railton that was released on the Ideologic Organ label. On Wednesday 8 November, the third part, Does Spring Hide Its Joy V3, will be broadcast in its entirety in Electronic Frequencies.
