Series about and with Catalan gambist and conductor Jordi Savall. In this and the next broadcast you will be listening to Savall’s latest album: “Granada”.

 

With these recordings,  Savall travels through 500 years of South Spanish history with us, from the 11th tot the 15 century, from the founding of the Granada empire by Zawi ibn Ziri until the fall of Granada in 1492.

This theme lets us meet the music of Arabic-Berber, Jewish and Mozarabic (Christian) cultures of that time.
