On the now 77 year old chansonnière Marie Laforêt (part 2).
Once Marie Laforêt had a small hit in the Netherlands with Il a neigé sur yesterday, a nostalgic look at the days of the Beatles, which even in the late seventies were far behind us. But she didn’t really belong in the Top 40, as she would rather sing songs from Latin America or surrender herself to the tasteful artistic whims of André Popp. Tonight, we play recordings from between 1971 and 1993, when she was recording her last album Reconnaissances.
