Dobet is a song writer, mbria player, percussionist and a phenomenal dancer.
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree as her father is Boni Gnahoré master percussionist and artistic leader of the Ki-Yi Mbock theatre and dance company from Abidjan. Because of French guitarist Colin Laroche de Féline diving into her traditions, she ended up in France where they continued on as a duo in 1999. She now resides in Paris.
Just like all her concerts, this one is a experience where Dobet performs compelling dances and is encouraged by her fellow musicians and an enthralled audience.
