Unknown clarinet player Douglas Williams. He arrived in Memphis with a ‘medicine-show’ in 1928 and was fortunate enough a Victor recording crew was there to capture local talent. In a number of sessions between 1928 and 1930 his own compositions were recorded, with of course the man himself on the solo clarinet.
