1- Gasper Nali.
Is a singer-songwriter from Malawi and this is his first real album. For his music, Gasper uses a ‘babatoni’, a home-made one string bass guitar with a three meter long neck. Gasper Nali’s music may sound happy, but his songs do have serious subjects. Take for example the title song, where he sings about the numourous forced child marriages in his country. 2- The Breath.
The ‘Real World’ record label founded by Peter Gabriel, introduces its latest acquisition, The Breath, from Manchester. The group consists of and is founded by Stuart McCallum, John Ellis, Luke Flowers and North Irish singer Rioghnach Connolly. The quartet plays, in their own words, a style between rock, ambient, folk and jazz. The result is unique sound, in which Connolly’s rich voice thrives. 3- Karim Baggali.
Karim Baggili is an real household name of flamenco and Arabic music. The guitar and ud player from Serbian-Croatian and Jordan roots, knows how to surprise and breath fresh air trhough traditional music from the Middle East and Andalusia. The past years, we saw him at work in all kinds of settings, from solo to sextet, and with award-winning world music collective Blindnote.
